How do I track my food with Glean?
You can now track all of your food intake on the Glean app itself, using our inbuilt Food Tracker, featuring a huge food database, barcode scanning, meal building, and all your favorite features.
If you prefer to use an external food tracker, we support connectivity to external tracking apps such as MyFitnessPal and Nutracheck.
How do I disconnect from the Glean Food Tracker and use my external tracking app?
In order to disconnect from the in-app Food Tracker, go over to your Dashboard and click on your Profile Picture. Next, click on Settings in the top right corner and scroll down until you find Connected App settings. On top of those settings you will see a Disconnect from food tracker button. Once you click on this, you will be disconnected from Glean Food Tracker.
After you are disconnected, you can go back to the main Settings and find the external tracking app you'd like to use. Click on Connect next to the app, and your tracking should be up and running!
The nutritional information for the food I searched for is incorrect. How can I fix it
Though we don’t have a way to submit corrections just yet, you can use the Add Food feature to track the food and manually enter the correct nutritional information. The food will then be saved in your history for easy selection in the future.
What is the Glean Community? Do I have to use it?
The Glean Community is the best place to connect with both the Glean Coaching Team and your fellow members. It’s where you can ask questions, celebrate wins, seek advice, find inspiration, and most importantly, meet like-minded people who understand what you’re going through and can offer support and encouragement.
There’s no obligation to post, but we highly recommend taking some time to browse and read about the experiences other members are sharing.
You will also find our team of coaches, who is active in the Community every day, ready to answer your questions and provide expert guidance whenever you need it.
I don’t want to see all the posts. Can I pick and choose which ones I see?
If you find all the posts a bit overwhelming, you can choose which Feeds you’d like to see. To do this, click the Edit button in the top left corner. You’ll then see a list of the Feeds you’re currently subscribed to, and you can leave any that you no longer wish to follow.
I’m a private person. Can I still take part in the Glean Community?
Yes, absolutely! We understand that the journey you are embarking on can be a very personal and emotional one, and we want to assure you that your privacy is always valued.
When you first join the Community, you’ll have the option to set your profile as either Public or Private. If set to Private, other Glean members won’t be able to see your bio or recent posts.
When creating a post, you’ll notice three small dots to the right of your name. Clicking these gives you the option to post anonymously. You’ll know it has worked when the button at the bottom changes from Post to Post Anonymously.
If you’d like to take privacy a step further, there’s no obligation to use your real name on Glean. You can change it anytime in your Settings under Edit my details.
